TechArt GT Street RS sets new lap record at Sachsenring race track
TechArt GT Street RS based on the 911 GT2 has broken the former lap record at the 3,671 meter Sachsenring race track with a lap time of 1:31.94, previous record holder was Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, with a lap time of 1:36.29.
That’s 4.47 seconds faster, which is not bad considering how short the track is. TechArt also impressed with other tests like 0-100 km/h sprint, which took just 3.5 seconds and a 32.9 meter braking distance from a 100 km/h speed.
TechArt GT Street RS packs 690 horsepower and up to 634 ft-lb of torque, which is 16+ hp and nearly 130 lb-ft more than the stock 997 GT2.
Good job TechArt, but now please take the GT Street RS to the mighty Nürburgring to see how it compares there against other supercars.
