Yesterday Pagani was on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with their track only Zonda R. Powered by an AMG sourced 6.0-liter V12 engine it produces 750 horsepower and up to 524 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to rear wheels via XTRAC six-speed sequential gearbox taking it from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, top speed is over 350 km/h (217 mph). Weight is just 1,070 kg (2359 lbs).
The car was piloted by Marc Basseng who managed to lap the notortious race track in just 6 minutes and 47 seconds. That’s 11 seconds faster than its main rival Ferrari 599XX.
Both the Zonda R and 599XX are so called production-derived sports cars, and placed somewhere between street-legal and race cars.
