Hyundai has revealed its next-generation Avante (badged as Elantra outside of Korea) at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea. New Elantra/Avante continues Hyundai’s “fluidic sculpture” design philosophy, with sportier and more elegant design lines than its predecessor.
Under the hood is a new 1.6-liter Gamma Direct Injection engine with 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, with power sent to the front-wheels.
Other highlights are HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps, LED combination lamps in the rear, heated rear seats, puddle lamps and a color TFT LCD information display in the gauge cluster.
