Hennessey Venom GT road testing in England (Video)
Hennessey Performance has released a new video of the Venom GT supercar driving on the roads near Silverstone, England.
The prototype is powered by a mildly-tweaked 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 V8 producing 725 bhp. Based upon the Lotus Elise it weighs just 2,400 lbs (1071 kg) and according to John Hennessey the car was very docile to drive at any speed. Whether at 20 mph through English country villages or at 120 mph on the highway.
Make sure you turn up the volume as the supercharged V8 sounds just awesome!

SO LET’S THINK ABOUT THIS.
First off, this is based on a Lotus Exige, not an Elise as these promotional articles have stated.
$600,000 dollars to put a turbocharged Corvette engine (costing about $30 all together) in a Lotus Exige (costing about $70 grand).
And it looks exactly like a $70 grand Lotus Exige for $600,000. Just how much would it cost to get a talented garage to do a custom fitting and engineering tweek on an Exige with a turbo charged Corvette engine? A hundred grand? Two hundred grand and it would be perfect.
Conclusion: this car is a joke for retards only.
