eRUF Stormster electric SUV based on Porsche Cayenne
RUF is the first car manufacturer to introduce electrically driven SUV based on the Porsche Cayenne. Called Stormster, it is driven by a Siemens electric motor, with 362 horsepower (270 kW) just as in the eRUF Greenster.
The Stormster weighs 2,670 kg (5,886 lbs), which is quite heavy compared to the regular Cayenne (2160 kg /4762 lbs). 0-100 km/h (62 mph) comes in 10 seconds and the top speed is 150 km/h (93 mph). Range from a full charge is 200 km (124 mph).
Power to the electric motor is provided by lithium-ion battery from Li-Tec Battery GmbH. Other highlights are Hankook winter tires fitted to RUF classic 5 spoke lightweight wheels.
RUF also released a picture of the Dakara Cayenne with the eRUF Stormster license plate, so our guess is that customers can order the Stormster with Dakara body kit as well.
This green SUV is currently on display in Copenhagen, Denmark at the European Climate Change Conference.
